With the passes clearing and hikers venturing back onto the trail, the Whistler RCMP are reminding people to be on the lookout for anything that might lead them to the remains of Jonathan Jette and Rachel Bagnall from Prince George.

The two were hiking in the Pemberton area near the Cassiope and Saxifrage peaks when they went missing in September 2010. Police are now looking for any evidence - pieces of clothing or other gear - that might explain what happened to the two experienced hikers.

Their vehicle was located north of Mount Currie on the Spetch Creek Forest Service Road after the two were reported overdue, triggering a search that lasted several weeks and made use of helicopters, ground searchers, dog teams and other resources. However, that search - and subsequent searches - turned up nothing.

The area is rugged, with trails that run along deep, wooded ravines.

The family is continuing the search each year, with assistance from members of RCMP and others familiar with the area.

If you see anything in the area that's out of the ordinary, contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044. The file is posted online at Missing Person's Canada (www.missingcanada.ca) and a Facebook page has been set up at Jonathan Jette and Rachel Bagnall.
