RCMP bust Pemberton drug house 

Woman charged

A Pemberton woman, Wendy Warnes, 44, is facing a variety of charges in connection with a raid on her home Thursday, May 25.

Charges of possession and trafficking, as well of breach of recognizance were laid after local RCMP executed a search warrant at the residence, located in the 1300 block of Pemberton Farm Road. The house had been on the police radar for more than a year.

Police entered the residence at approximately 3:30 p.m. RCMP say they discovered cocaine, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, hypodermic needles, and cash. Warnes was one of the two people found at the residence at the time of the raid.

On Monday, May 29 she made her first court appearance in North Vancouver Provincial Court. Warnes has been remanded into custody and will appear in court date again on Friday, June 2.
