RCMP continue investigation of break-ins

RCMP Briefs

There were no new break-ins this week, but RCMP are continuing to investigate three Nicklaus North break-ins that were reported on Monday, July 5.

The RCMP looked at a suspect this week when local residents awoke to find a stranger sleeping on their couch. The man was apparently drunk, and thought he was at a friend’s house. Investigators are checking out his story.

In all three robberies the victims had left their sliding glass doors open, allowing the suspect or suspects to enter the premises and steal a variety of electronics. The RCMP believe the suspects were going from residence to residence trying doors until they found one that was open.

The RCMP remind residents to lock their doors and use their security systems.
