To be recruited, candidates have to the meet the following qualifications;
• An applicant must be a minimum 19 years old;
• An applicant must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
• An applicant must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s licence and a certified driving record;
• Applicants must be interviewed, and require the same background checks as police officers;
• Applicants must be security cleared to have access to police information systems and recommendations, which will be reviewed periodically.
The RCMP is looking for volunteers in both Whistler and Pemberton, with priority given to long-term residents.
Interested candidates are asked to complete a resume with any relevant experience, as well as their current contact information, and drop it off at either the Whistler or Pemberton RCMP detachments.
