It was a busy U.S. Thanksgiving weekend for the Whistler-Pemberton RCMP, with members responding to 93 service calls.

They attended two noisy parties, four fights and two assaults, and six individuals were arrested for being over intoxicated, and one was arrested for causing a disturbance.

The RCMP also conducted regular road checks over the weekend with the assistance of the Enhanced Road Safety Initiative. ERSI members supplemented local officers, allowing the RCMP to conduct more patrols and road checks.

As a result, three males were arrested and charged with impaired driving, and four were handed 24 hour driving prohibitions.
