Whistler Community Services’ Re-Use-It Centre, located in Function Junction, will now be issuing charitable tax receipts for donations of new items including overstock, and lightly damaged retail goods which can be sold in the non-profit store.

This new program is aimed at increasing the community recycling and at the same time adding much needed funding for the many community services in Whistler that the non-profit store supports.

Corporate tax receipts will also be issued for specific store fixtures when accepted by the Re-Use-It Centre. To determine if your goods would be accepted contact Lorna Van Straaten, manager at 604-932-1121 or e-mail janet@mywcss.org

The Re-Use-It Centre is the primary fund raiser for Whistler Community Services’ 25 programs and services, including the Whistler Food Bank, Christmas Hamper Program, Community Kitchen, Whistler Welcome Week, Parent/Infant drop in and Youth Outreach, to name a few. A large percentage of the donations to the centre are forwarded to dozens of other charities, community groups and relief efforts within the corridor, B.C. and internationally.
