Remembering Greg Lee

Memorial to be held March 11 at Tapley's Pub

Friends and family of Greg "Sumo" Lee are holding an event to celebrate his life on Friday, Mar. 11 at 1:30 p.m., at Tapley's Pub.

Lee passed away on Feb. 14 after suffering a massive stroke at the Craigleith ski resort in Ontario two days earlier. Lee was one of Whistler's first ski coaches, working at the Toni Sailer Summer Glacier Camps in the late '60s and then joining Dave Murray Ski Camps.

He was active in ski racing his whole life, filling every job from coach to director of Sales and Marketing for Alpine Canada, and pitching in as a volunteer everywhere else. He was 58 years old.
