Whistler’s Resort TV launched a new entertainment segment recently, aimed at keeping guests and locals informed about the best places to hang out and the not-to-be-missed events around town.

Anchored by Angela Moore, who moved here just a few weeks ago from Toronto, the two to three minute segment will be updated every Thursday and be repeated throughout the day and night for the following week.

"We are focusing on the hot spots," said Moore, who has just wrapped up the second weekly segment.

"As well we also want to focus on family activities and events."

Don McQuaid is the mastermind of the operation of Resort TV, which is on channel 2 on Whistler Cable.

"My theory is that within the first hour of coming into your hotel room you are going to get a birds eye view of everything you need to know to maximize your stay," he said.

"You are going to know all the best restaurants, all the casual restaurants, all the family activity all of the activities you can do outside of skiing and boarding."

Right now two guest-hosts lead visitors through some of the best eateries in town and the best shopping.

And from now on Moore will take the visitor on a tour of all the places to have fun and be entertained.

McQuaid is excited to have Moore join his Resort TV team.

"We always wanted to make sure we had a little of the Whistler vibe and the Whistler edge to it and I wanted to bring that element to television so it wasn’t just a boring scenario, so (Moore) is going to be hosting our entertainment segment.

"Moore is a great personality and an uninhibited personality. We are looking forward to what she can do."
