Just weeks after winning the "Breakaway from Cancer: Most Courageous" jersey at the Amgen Tour of California, Whistler's Will Routley was back in action at the Philadelphia International Championship on June 26 - with 251 km in total racing on a circuit through the city that draws elite Canadian and U.S. riders.

Routley placed 60 th in that event for Team Jelly Belly presented by Kenda while working to get teammate Michael Friedman into the lead group. Friedman was ranked 11 th after the final sprint to the finish but only a few bike lengths back of the leader.

While he didn't finish with the lead group, Routley came close to adding two new jerseys to his collection with a second place finish in the King of the Mountains competition and a second place finish in the Sprint Competition.
