Whistler Blackcomb was a sea of red suits and bushy white beards Saturday Dec.17 as Whistler Blackcomb kicked off its annual Dress Like Santa, Ski For Free Day.

At the crack of dawn, 75 eager skiers and riders arrived at the base of Whistler Blackcomb dressed in full Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus attire, set to ski and ride for free. There was even a Rudolph Reindeer to guide the way.

As of Friday 100 per cent of Whistler Blackcomb's terrain is now open. So far over 321cm or 10.5 feet of snow has fallen this season and on top of that, the Whistler Blackcomb snowmaking team has converted 175 million gallons of water into snow.
