The second in a series of fireside chats organized by the Vancouver-Whistler 2010 Olympic Bid Corporation will feature Charles Parkinson, executive director of sport for the bid corporation.

Parkinson, who will be speaking at the Whistler Mountain Ski Club cabin March 27 at 7 p.m., is a former athlete at the World University Games and a bronze medallist at the Pan American Games. He will be speaking about the LegaciesNow programs that are designed to provide promising young B.C. athletes with world-class programs and services to help them compete today, tomorrow and in 2010.

Parkinson is the director of Sport and Community Development for the Province of British Columbia and a member of the board of the Canada Games Council, National Sport Centre Vancouver, National Sport Centre Victoria and B.C. Games Society.
