SkateSpace music lineup full of heavy hitters

One of Whistler’s few notable outdoor festivals this summer has announced its music lineup, and SkateSpace is bringing in some hip hop heavy hitters to make it memorable.

How often do you get to see Moka Only and Checkmate sharing the same stage? And Whistlerites will be glad to welcome back Swollen Members. This is the third time the Vancouver duo have appeared in the resort in just five months, but make no mistake, Swollen Members are worth seeing again and again!

ShoCore has been a buzzword on Vancouver radio with their hit Bonecracker, and now Whistler will be treated to their sound live, along with a full entourage of dancers. Vancouver’s power-pop-punk princess, Siobhan Duvall, also makes a return trip up Highway 99. And local bands Going Blind, Slow Nerve Action, DJ Shandi Rae and Whole Damn County will be representin’.

The all-ages action is free of charge on the SkateSpace stage Aug. 2-6 in Whistler’s Skate Park. Stay tuned to Pique ’s Entertainment Listings for complete details and feature interviews.
