SLRD board expresses concern with Sea to Sky LRMP planning team

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional Distroct Board wants more representation at the Sea to Sky LRMP table.

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional Distroct Board wants more representation at the Sea to Sky LRMP table.

SLRD board members voted at their last monthly meeting to write to the Premier, expressing concern that each community in the Plan area does not have representation at the Sea to Sky Interagency Planning Team technical group level.

Currently, only one regional district representative is present at the table, which is comprised of provincial and local government staff.

In addition, the board felt that as the background work is nearing completion, elected representatives should now be brought into the process.
