While you’d be hard-pressed to find any ski or snowboard magazine that didn’t feature at least one shot of B.C.’s ski resorts or backcountry, for December of 2001, Snowboarder Magazine has a released a special British Columbia Issue.

The majority of the articles focus on B.C. snowboarders, B.C. resorts, B.C. companies, and even feature photographs by locals. Whistler figures prominently throughout the magazine as a kind of global epicenter for the sport.

Some of the featured riders include Lower Mainland riders Natasza Zurek, Annie Boulanger, Jed Anderson, Devun Walsh, Max Jenke, and Chris Dufficy.

The magazine also includes articles on the 2001 Sims World Snowboarding Championships, and snowmobiling in the Whistler backcountry.

Provincially, the Local Knowledge section profiles 10 different B.C. snowboarding experiences, including Mount Seymour, Big White, Panorama, Kicking Horse, Red Mountain, Whitewater and Fernie resorts, heli skiing with Klondike and Mike Wiegele, and cat skiing in the Monashees.
