Whistler’s food and wine celebration will take place from Nov. 6 to 10 offering food and wine seminars, winemaker dinners and special events. For more information and tickets call 604-938-2769.

Support the local animal shelter at the Wicked Wheel in Pemberton on Tues. Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. The $50 tickets include a four course meal with wine and lots of prizes. Money raised will go towards two animal surgeries. Tickets available through WAG.

Whistler’s original craft fair Bizarre Bazaar is on Sat. Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Delta Whistler Resort. Seventy artisans from Whistler, the Sea to Sky Corridor and Lower Mainland will be on hand with fine hand-crafted products including jewellery, bath and body products, ceramics, clothing, preserves, fine art, wood and glass products, candles, toys and Christmas decorations. Admission by donation.

The updated Callaghan master plan including sports venues and the athletes village will be on display on Nov. 12 at the Delta Whistler Village Suites. Bid employees will be on hand for any questions. The open house will run from 4 to 8 p.m.

Whistler’s fate lies in your hands. Get out to vote in the municipal elections on Sat. Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Myrtle Philip School. Two pieces of ID, including one picture ID are required if not registered. Voting in West Vancouver is at Rockridge Middle School on the same day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

WFSG is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to restore the health of Whistler’s watersheds to their utmost potential for people and fish through community partnerships, advocacy, education and projects. WSFG will be hosting volunteer activity sessions throughout the summer where people can help out and learn about stream restoration, streamside planting, fish monitoring and other stewardship activities.
