The 3rd annual Crud to Mud race will take place on Mon. May 24. The race starts on the snow at the top of Whistler Mountains and then changes gears as racers switch to mountain bikes for the lower part of the descent. Call 604-932-3434 to register.

SISTER CITY EXCHANGE BOTTLE DRIVE>>

Help ten Whistler students go to Karuizawa, Whistler’s Sister City, this summer. A bottle drive fundraiser will take place at the bottle depot on Sun. May 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Large donations can be picked up by called Sue at 604-902-2310 in advance.

Black Bear Researcher Michael Allen, who has studied Whistler black bears for the past ten years, is giving a multi-media presentation about a bear’s life in Whistler throughout a yearly cycle.
