The village walkways will come alive from Fri. Sept. 3 to Mon. Sept. 6 with a presentation of a Celebration of Psyche and Soul. There are free and ticketed events including palm and tarot card readings, a mystic fair, workshops and "spiritual" street entertainment. The Whistler Astronomy Club is hosting a star gazing series on Saturday’s throughout September. Meet at Rainbow Park at 8 p.m. on Sept. 4, 11, and 18. Intro to naked eye astronomy; binocular stargazing, and telescopic observation of deep sky objects.

24 HOURS OF ADRENALIN>>

It’s a mountain biking race that goes on forever…well, for a full 24 hours at least. Teams of bikers or solo contestants will take part in the 24 Hours of Adrenalin from Sat. Sept. 4 to Sun. Sept. 5. All parents are invited to the Parents Advisory Council’s Coffee Morning on the first day of school on Tues. Sept. 7 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Special welcome to new parents!

YOUTH SOCCER CLUB REGISTRATION/COACHES MEETING>>

All coaches are asked to attend the coaches meeting on Wed. Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Myrtle Philip lounge. Youth soccer registration will take place on Thurs. Sept. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Millar Room at Myrtle Philip School. Registration for all age groups K-Grade 12. Proof of age required for 11-17 (BCSA rules).
