What: Eagle watch volunteer program The volunteer interpreter program is gearing up for its 10th season and needs volunteers. An orientation and slideshow on the Bald Eagle will give volunteers more information on the program. Bring a bagged lunch and dress for the weather. Call Amy at 604-932-3234.

What: GALA FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS It’s the annual evening of dinner, dancing, wine and a live music all in the name of raising money for non-profit groups in the Whistler community. Tickets for the Festival of Lights are now on sale at the Whistler Real Estate Company or Re/Max of Whistler.

What: BLACKCOMB Blackcomb Mountain will open early for the 2004-’05 winter season on Saturday, November 20. The first chair up will be the winners of Freeze Factor who made it to the brutal end after 24 hours standing in line for a free season’s pass.

What: WHISTLER The wait is finally over on Thursday, November 25 when Whistler Mountain officially opens for the 2004-’05 season.
