What: LUNAFLIKS If you’ve seen it once, it’s worth a second viewing, this time on the big screen outdoors. Check out ‘Fight Club’ at the next LUNAFLIKS. DJ Andrew kicks off the outdoor festivities at 9 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. It’s a $5 entry, $3 with LUNA card. Make the evening more comfy with some lawn chairs and blankets. What: VANOC CELEBRATION Join VANOC CEO John Furlong, Squamish Chief Gibby Jacob, local MLA Joan McIntyre and others at a VANOC celebration to commemorate the start of venue construction. True to form, there will be cake! All welcome, just head to the info centre deck.

What: BEAR PAWS Fun for the whole family! Learn from local black bear researcher Michael Allen as he talks to kids and their parents about bear safety and Whistler’s black bears. What: NEW ZEALAND LAMB & FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Members, friends and visitors of the local churches are welcome to the weekly Tuesday BBQ. This week there will be a leg of lamb followed by a sing-a-long with the Fiddler and other musical friends. Tickets are $10/person, $20 per family. Call 604-935-8450 for info.

What: GIANT USED BOOK SALE Donations needed for the giant used book sale in aid of the Whistler Public Library. All types of books, magazines and videos welcome. Drop off boxes located at Nesters Market, TD Canada Trust in Marketplace and Whistler Public Library. For pick up of large donations or to volunteer call Jane Reid at 604-932-3665.
