What: MAYORALTY CANDIDATES FORUM The Whistler Forum is hosting a public forum to hear from and dialogue with the candidates running for Mayor. The format will include opening and closing statements from candidates as well as oral and written questions from the audience. A $10 donation is suggested. All welcome.

When: Sunday November 13, 2-4 p.m.

Where: MY Millennium Place

What: Whistler arts council candidates meeting The Whistler Arts Council will hold the last in a series of all candidates meetings. The topic is arts and culture in Whistler. Each candidate will give a two-minute presentation. This will be followed by a moderated question period. All welcome.

When: Monday November 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

What: SPIRIT DAY It’s back! A fun interactive trade fair where local businesses and not-for-profit organizations showcase their products and services to new employees. Refamiliarize yourself with Whistler and all it has to offer. Drop in any time throughout the afternoon. All welcome to come. If you are attending for a Spirit Pass, you must register online beforehand.

What: STARGAZING WITH JOHN NEMY & THE NATURALISTS AGM Local astronomer John Nemy will present a show with images of the cosmos entitled ‘Stargazing for Everyone and the Whistler World Ecocentre.’ Before the show the Whistler Naturalists will hold their annual general meeting including elections of the board of directors. The AGM runs from 6-7 p.m. Nemy’s feature presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission by donation. All are welcome to attend either the AGM, Nemy’s talk or both.

What: OPEN PROJECTOR NIGHT TAKE 3 The Whistler Photographic Society is hosting its third Open Projector Night. The evening also includes the WPS annual general meeting at 7:30 p.m. The viewing is free and the seating is limited so get there early – the projector night begins at 8:30 p.m. For more info contact Leanna Rathkelly at 604-938-9808.
