What: luna - rhyme and reason Vancouver hip hop artist Ndidi Cascade will give a workshop which includes an intro to hip hop, rhyme writing, freestyling and performance skills, and then ends with a jam where everyone can try out their written raps and freestyle on the mic. The focus is on socially conscious lyrics. Entry is $5/$7.

What: a deep winter storytime Deep winter conjures up thoughts of abundant snow, chilly noses and cheeks, long still nights and cozy times by the fire. What: WHISTLER NATURALISTS: PINEAPPLES, POWDER & PRECIPITATION Learn a little more about Whistler’s weather from the experts. Environment Canada’s David Jones will explain regional weather patterns that bring dry snow and wet snow and local avalanche forecasters will put that in perspective for what that weather means for skiers and riders. Admission is by donation.

What: THE VINYL CAFE Stuart McLean, one of Canada’s most beloved storytellers, will record more adventures from The Vinyl Cafe in Whistler. McLean will be on hand for two performances.
