What: RBC OLYMPIANS EXPERIENCE Whistler is the fourth stop on this five-city tour throughout BC. featuring opportunities to meet Canadian Olympians and Paralympians, ride a snowboard simulator, and view demos of the extraordinary training regimen of our world class athletes. Free for the whole family.

What: TOWN HALL Following an update from the mayor, Council members will move between seven tables and participate in round table discussions lasting five minutes each. The mayor and councillors will then cook up hot dogs and hamburgers for those in attendance. Childminding is available. RSVP to info@whistler.ca . When: Friday June 8, 3 – 5:30 p.m.

What: ENVIRO-FEST The theme for the sixth annual festival is Sustainability in Action and is geared at celebrating the successes that Whistler-area organizations have brought towards the movement. All activities are free.

What: WILD THINGS SCAVENGER HUNT Presented by EnviroFest and AWARE, kids of all ages are invited to explore the forest with naturalist Cara Richard. Must be accompanied by an adult. This event will run rain or shine.

What: WHISTLER SECONDARY GRAD 2007 Join the members of the graduating class of 2007 for an afternoon of finery as they celebrate the end of their high school careers.

What: CIRCLE OF SUPPORT The Whistler Interfaith Society invites people of all faiths and spiritual traditions to gather in solidarity to share in the recent loss of members of the Lil’wat Nation.

What: JOEL THIBAULT HOSPITALITY CUP The 2 nd annual golf tournament in memory of Joel Thibault features a dinner and auction at Buffalo Bill’s with the tournament running the next day. Proceeds to benefit the BC Cancer Foundation. Register at Tapley’s Bar and Grill between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 a.m. seven days a week. $160 per person to register.

What: FAIRHURST FISHING DOCK OPENING Mayor Ken Melamed, Minister of Environment Barry Penner and students from Alta Lake School will take part in the grand opening for the dock built last year by the RMOW in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the Whistler Angling Club.
