What: FUNDRAISING GOLF TOURNAMENT Enjoy playing in a fun golf tournament while helping raise money for local community projects, including the Pemberton Children’s Centre and the Pemberton Library. $125 per player, $45 for dinner and auction. When: Thursday September 20

What: LUNA HARVEST ART FEST This year’s theme is entitled The Green Art Show. Works of art with environmentally friendly messaging, processes, materials, and mediums will be displayed outdoors along a magical forested trail. All works are created by young adults age 18 – 35. Entry is free.

What: ARTREPRENEUR SEMINAR This is a one-day professional development workshop designed to assist artists access the marketplace through a targeted marketing plan. Topics covered include proposal packages and submissions; information on galleries, both public and commercial; and the internet as a tool and licensing work. What: CHEAKAMUS CHALLENGE The 22 nd annual fall classic mountain bike race is the granddaddy of all mountain bike races and covers more than 72 km, including 2,000 vertical meters. For more information, please visit www.cheakamuschallenge.ca. When: Saturday September 22

What: COPS FOR CANCER RIDERS Please join our local RCMP officers as they complete a 10-day bike ride to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research and programs. Join a police escorted bike ride from Creekside to the Village at 1 p.m. or head to Village Square to take place in the fundraising event.

What: KIDS FUN DAY Join the Whistler Rotary Club at this fun filled day for kids of all ages in a celebration of the end of summer. Events include face painting, arts and crafts, and old-fashioned races, such as sack races and egg and spoon races. Music entertainment and bbq lunch also available. Event runs rain or shine. Admission by donation.

What: RUBBLE CREEK CLASSIC Join James Retty and the crew from Escape Route, Whistler   for the 23 rd running of the Rubble Creek Classic. The now-famous course starts at the Cheakamus Lake parking lot, climbs up Helm Creek, traverses the cinder flats towards Taylor Meadows-Garibaldi Lake and then drops to the Garibaldi/Rubble Creek parking lot.
