What: LUNAFLIKS DRIVE-IN LUNA presents its final event of the season – a drive-in double feature at Blackcomb Base 2 with a “school” theme. First up is “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” about the plucky teenager who skips school for a day, and “The Breakfast Club,” about a group of students in detention. So who wants to go? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? $7 admission for non-members, $5 for members.

What: TRANSITION SPACE TEMPORARY ART GALLERY A four-day show showcases 15 emerging artists who’ll show a wide range of art in different mediums including paintings, drawings, photography, pottery and more.

What: FEAST OF FIELDS FESTIVAL The Chateau Whistler has partnered with the FarmFolk/CityFolk Society for the third annual harvest festival, an event that aims to expose Whistler residents to the finest organic foods that the community can offer. Cost is $199 per person, gets each participant a night’s sleep at the Cheateau, as well as a private tour through Whistler’s Farmer’s Market and a brunch buffet at the Wildflower restaurant.

What: WHISTLER MUSEUM LEGO BUILDING COMPETITION Kids are invited to come and show off their favouriet activity by building it with LEGO! Whistler’s got all the best activities, and no one knows that better than the kids, so show us what you’ve got... with LEGO!

What: ADELE CAMPBELL GALLERY GROUP EXHIBITION Gallery artists Angela Morgan, Nicola Prinsen and Nikol Haskova have their work featured in an exhibition dedicated to showing outstanding emerging artists.

What: BETWEEN SHIFTS THEATRE AUDITION Between Shifts theatre in Squamish is looking to audition peopel for its latest production – “Garry Plotter and the Pantomimer’s Stone.” Participants are asked to prepare a song, or at least part of one, and be ready for a cold read. All participants must be 16 years of age or older. Callbacks Thursday, September 11, 7 p.m.

What: INAUGURAL MR. GAY CANADA COMPETITION Whistler is playing host to the first Canada-wide search for Mr. Gay Canada. The purpose is to identify people who take the responsibility to speak out for equal rights on a global stage.

When: Thursday September 18 – Sunday September 21

Where: Fairmont Chateau Whistler

What: RCMP SEA TO SKY REGIMENTAL BALL RCMP officers from all over Canada gather at this annual event to raise funds for Cops for Cancer. Event will include silent auction, live music, piping, a traditional grand march, and, of course, dancing with officers in red serge.

When: Saturday September 20, 6:30 p.m.
