What: 7-ELEVEN FIRE AND ICE SHOW Come to the base of Whistler Village Gondola and witness some of Whistler's best daredevils as they literally jump through fire to impress you. There's also fire spinners and fireworks. Afterwards come by the GLC's Afterburn party.

When: Every Sunday until February 28, 6:30 p.m.

What: WINTER FARMERS MARKET The weekly farmers' market is still happening during the Olympics. This is the best way for you to get a taste of the bounty that the Sea to Sky region's soil has to offer. There's fresh bread, local produce, custom-made jewellery and much, much more.

When: Every Sunday until February 28, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What: APRES WITH MATZO BALL SOUP The Whistler Sinai Centre hosts a Friday night Shabbat Service and Dinner that doubles as an apres session. Enjoy the energy of a Friday night alongside community members and Vancouver 2010 participants, accompanied by a hot bowl of Matzo Ball Soup.

When: Friday February 26, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

What: WHISTLER 2010 ABSOLUTE PURIM PARTY Purim is coming, so celebrate! Hear the Megallah, say "L'Chaim!" and enjoy plenty of music and dancing. More details are to come but for now please recall that Kadish is required for this event. Presented by the Whistler Sinai Centre.

When: Saturday February 27, 7 p.m.

What: WINTERPRIDE The Olympics aren't the only event that's hitting Whistler this year. Succeeding the Games is WinterPRIDE, an annual event that will include activities around culinary interests, health and wellness, spa and education, as well as the fifth annual International Mr. Gay Competition.

When: Monday March 1 to Monday March 8

Where: Various locations throughout Whistler

 

What: WINTER PARALYMPIC GAMES The Olympic excitement isn't over yet. Still to come are the world's Paralympians, fighting it out in an event that's meant to run parallel to the Games. Nightly medal presentations and victory ceremonies will celebrate winners of Alpine and Nordic events.

When: Friday March 12 to Sunday March 21
