What: ST. JEAN BAPTISTE PARTY Squamish citizens are organizing a St. Jean Baptiste Party in Downtown Squamish. Francophones and Francophiles make up about 15 per cent of Sea to Sky's population and will celebrate their culture with musicians like Hugo Paquin and Mikael Aubin, Annie Roy and Mathieu Jolicoeur.

What: AWARE KIDS CLUB - TRENDY TRANSPORTATION The Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment presents a kids' club day where children will learn why walking, biking and taking the bus is a great way to get around and save the environment! Ages six through 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

When: Saturday June 26, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Where: Whistler Public Library

 

What: BARE NECESSITIES CAR WASH The Bare Necessities Fundraising Team is hosting a Car Wash and BBQ to raise money for its participation in the Cancer Foundation's Underwear Run, a 10 kilometre run they play to do in, yes, their underwear, that helps fight cancers below the waist.

When: Saturday June 26, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: McDonald's Parking Lot

 

What: CRUISER RIDE The Whistler Bike Cruisers are hosting a Cruiser Ride, a chance to showcase innovative hand-pedal bikes and low-riders. Attendees and participants are asked to bring a $2 donation to donate to local community groups. The event will start with a showcase at Skier's Plaza and the ride will follow.

When: Sunday June 27, showcase 6 p.m., ride 6:30 p.m.

What: CANADA DAY PARADE The Whistler Chamber of Commerce invites all business and community groups to join in Canada Day celebrations. Sing, dance, jump, walk or ride your bike. It's a great chance to show your business or group to more than 6,000 spectators. To be accompanied by a big party that the muni is paying for!

When: Thursday July 1

What: BALDING FOR DOLLARS Balding for Dollars returns for its eighth annual event in Whistler. It's a community favourite that sees locals shave off their locks to support kids with cancer at BC Children's Hospital. There are prizes for top fundraiser and the sounds of the Rutherford Creek Trio.

When: Saturday July 17, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
