What: BIOBLITZ The Whistler Naturalists present the fourth annual Bioblitz, a race to count as many species as possible. What: SIXTH ANNUAL TEDDY BEARS PICNIC The West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish hosts its sixth annual Teddy Bears Picnic. It'll be a fun-filled day with mini train rides, arts and crafts, inflatable toys and more! Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch. It costs $5 per person. RSVP to Lisa or Diane at (604) 815-4144.

What: INSPIRING EARTH ACTION: WRITERS FOR A CHANGE The Whistler Forum for Leadership and Dialogue presents a summer series of writers and thinkers who'll talk about the environment. This week, Sonnet L'Abbe, awarded most promising writer under 35. She'll talk about cultural ecologist David Abram. BBQ costs $25 and the talk alone costs $10.

What: WHISTLER MUSEUM BC DAY CELEBRATIONS The Whistler Museum is hosting a BC Day Community Celebration, open by donation and tents outside the museum to have arts and crafts for kids. There will also be a BC Day Cake from the Chateau Whistler and vouchers for Cows ice cream.

What: SLOW FOOD CYCLE SUNDAY The sixth annual Slow Food Cycle Sunday is happening this year after a one-year hiatus. It's a chance to cycle up through the Pemberton Meadows to see and taste the bounty that Pemberton's hallowed ground has to offer.
