What: LUNAFLIKS PRESENTS PERFUME Lunaflicks presents an outdoor screening of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, about a genius on an obsessive search for the world's greatest scents. From the director of Run Lola Run. Entry is $7, BBQ and a drink costs $5.

When: BBQ and music begin at 8:30 p.m., film begins at 9:30 p.m.

What: FUNCTION BLOCK PARTY The Whistler Arts Council presents its annual Block pARTy in Function Junction, showcasing artist studios and galleries, businesses and more! Come for live entert.ainment, local artisans, food vendors and DJ's, as well as street hockey and more.

What: FOODWORX The Whistler Community Services Society presents FoodWorx, a foody complement to the Crankworx biking festival. The WCSS is collecting cash and can donations for the foodbank. Come by the WCSS and drop them off. Kids get free face painting!

What: SLOW FOOD CYCLE SUNDAY The sixth annual Slow Food Cycle Sunday is happening this year after a one-year hiatus. It's a chance to cycle up through the Pemberton Meadows to see and taste the bounty that Pemberton's hallowed ground has to offer.

When: Sunday August 15, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What: IN-SHUCK-CH DAYS The In-SHUCK-ch Nation hosts In-SHUCK-ch Days, a festival to celebrate In-SHUCK-ch culture and accomplishments. What: K9 WINE AND DINE FUNDRAISER WAG presents its main event of the year, a fundraiser for lost and abandoned animals. Owners share a fine dining experience with their dogs. They enjoy a gourmet three-course meal accompanied by vintage "Pinot Growlio," all courtesy of the Hilton's executive chef.
