What: Invasive species tour - In Squamish the Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council (SSISC) invasive field tour will be on Thursday, July 7, from 5:15 - 6:30 p.m. (meet at the empty lot diagonal from the Brew Pub in downtown Squamish).  Another weed pull is taking place on Sunday, July 10 to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry plants along the shoulders of the Windsurfing Spit. Volunteers meet at 10 a.m. at theFisherman's entrance by the Railroad Museum. For more information contact Edith Tobe: srws@shaw.ca or 604-898-9171.In Pemberton both tour and pull are on Saturday, July 9. The event will start with a knapweed pull along the Arn canal by Hwy 99. Meet at 3 p.m. at the dead end road off Cottonwood Court across from the Mount Currie Coffee Company. The field tour will start at 4 p.m. (same meeting spot) in a caravan-style tour. What: Valley of dreams walking tours - The Whistler Museum's Valley of Dreams Walking Tours will lead you through Whistler Village and paint an incredible picture of the valley's many transformations.

What: Ride the sky - The Sea to Sky Trail Community Ride takes place on Sunday, July 17 at 10 a.m. so pump your tires like your MC Hammer and get ready to pedal and party with all ages. Celebrations and family activities will be held at Cheakamus Crossing at 11 a.m. The ride itself goes from Cheakamus Crossing to Brandywine Falls Park - hardly an impossible mission. Celebrate and explore the newest addition to the Sea to Sky Trail and Cheakamus Crossing Trail that winds through the magnificent valley forest below Black Tusk. All bikers, trail runners and families are invited to take part in this 13-kilometre community ride on the forested gravel trail. Kids' bike decorating and the official ribbon cutting take place before the ride. Light refreshments provided by Cheaky's Café and the HI Hostel.
