What: Eagle Watch Volunteer Program. The volunteer interpreter program is gearing up for its 10th season and needs volunteers. An orientation and slideshow on the Bald Eagle will give volunteers more information on the program. Bring a bagged lunch and dress for the weather. Call Amy at 604-932-3234.

What: GALA FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS It’s the annual evening of dinner, dancing, wine and live music all in the name of raising money for non-profit groups in the Whistler community. Tickets for the festival are now on sale at the Whistler Real Estate Company or Re/Max of Whistler.

What: Mountaineer’s Soiree. Canadian climbing legend Peter Croft will present a slideshow at the sixth annual Mountaineer’s Soiree. Tickets are $10 from Escape Route or $12 at the door. There will be a beer garden and silent auction.
