What: LUNA – SASQUATCH! Run with teammates on snowshoes while performing survival skills and keeping your eyes peeled for the Whistler Sasquatch. $2 for LUNA members, $4 non-members. Must have snowshoes and flashlights, which can be rented at Escape Route after 3 p.m. and Cross Country Connection after 7 p.m. ($5 with LUNA card). What: TUNED WOMEN More local talent to discover! It’s the third annual Tuned Women, showcasing original tunes from Sea to Sky musicians. There’s hip hop, folk, jazz, rock and electronica performances from a whole new group of tuned women. Tickets are $15/$13. Call 604-935-8410.

What: LITERARY LEANINGS Writers take to the stage to read their work in Literary Leanings. Featured authors include Canada’s first poet laureate George Bowering and former CBC radio host Arthur Black. Local writers will also read. Admission is free

What: LUNA LOUNGE Relax in the LUNA Lounge. In this Late & Unique Nighttime Alternatives event you can take in a movie, fill your belly for $2 and meet some new friends. There’s ping pong, foosball and Internet access. All welcome.

What: WHISTLER NATURE SLIDESHOW Amateur and professional photographers display their images of Whistler, focusing on elements of nature, such as flora, fauna, and mountain scenery. Suggested admission donation $7.

What: COMMUNITY NOW: The People of Whistler This is part one of a five-part film series on the people of Whistler, each one focusing on a different age demographic. This year the focus is seniors and their unique stories and anecdotes of Whistler. This is a free event but seating is limited. RSVP to 604-932-2019.
