The Whistler Bike Park is the scene for all the action with the Nissan Biker X, the Kona Jump Jam, Trialsworx and more. No Whistler festival would be complete without the entertainment. What: perseid meteor shower Pick your spot at the park, lie down and watch the meteor shower unfold with the Whistler Astronomy Club. Fast-flying dust particles will light up the night sky with bright streaks in a meteor show. Prime meteor-watching hours are from midnight until dawn. Bring a waterproof ground cover or reclining chair and warm clothes/sleeping bag for your meteor viewing pleasure.

What: REEL ALTERNATIVES - hank williams first nation A comedy about a Cree elder from Alberta who decides he must visit the grave of his hero, Hank Williams, before he dies. Don’t miss this story on the big screen outdoors at Lost Lake. Tickets are $5. Bring chairs and blankets to make it extra cosy. If it rains the movie will be held at Millennium Place at 9 p.m.
