Bring a waterproof ground cover or reclining chair and warm clothes/sleeping bag.

What: REEL ALTERNATIVES - hank williams first nation A comedy about a Cree elder from Alberta who decides he must visit the grave of his hero, Hank Williams, before he dies. Don’t miss this story on the big screen outdoors at Lost Lake. Tickets are $5. Bring chairs and blankets to make it extra cosy. If it rains the movie will be held at Millennium Place at 9 p.m.

What: Rythmo-synchro The human body and other objects get musical with Rythmo-Synchro, one of a series of performances brought to Whistler by Festival Vancouver. The performance is described as fast-paced and filled with humour. Exotic percussion instruments are also part of the show. Tickets are $15/$10. Call 604-935-8410 for details.

hat: BOOK SALE AT FARMER’S MARKET Sunday’s market just got a little better with the addition of a used book sale booth. All proceeds go to Whistler’s Writers Festival. Organizers are still looking for books. Call Stella at 604-932-4518.

What: SLOW FOOD CYCLE Join in this 50 kms en masse bike ride through the rich Pemberton valley and stop at the stalls showcasing local food producers. This is where you can pick up some delicious fresh farm food such as organic blueberries, hazelnuts, garlic, potatoes, greens, beef and of course, seed potatoes.
