What:          Barry MacDONALD TALKS This renowned                           coach/counsellor offers concrete ideas and               advice on helping boys in the school system              reach their full potential. Free babysitting at this          free event, sponsored by the parents at MPCS. When:     Thursday October 5, 7 p.m.

Where:    Whistler Secondary School

 

What:          GIANT USED BOOK SALE Huge selection of books          for sale: fiction, non-fiction, adults, kids, hard                   and soft-cover, plus magazines, CDs and videos. Books sold by donation. All proceeds to school                   libraries at Spring Creek and Whistler Secondary.

When:         Saturday October 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:    In front of IGA

 

What:          LAST FARMER’S MARKET This is the last weekend          left to get fresh organic produce and unique             crafts at the Whistler Farmer’s Market.

When:         Sunday October 8, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where:    Upper Village

 

What:          SOUP’S ON! The Alta Lake School is hosting the                   annual Harvest Soup Contest at the last                            Farmer’s Market of the season. Delicious hot                   soup from some of Whistler’s finest restaurants                will be available! Get there early before the soup      runs out!

What:          TURKEY SALE One of the biggest annual retail                   events is back! Get ready for winter with deals                 on great gear. There will be 20,000 square feet            of shopping space.
