What: RIDE THE RAILS Ride the 3 km miniature train through a festival of lights and displays in Squamish at the 8th annual ‘Christmas Lights in the Park.’ Seats are limited. Tickets are $4.50 per person. The park is located at 39645 Government Road.

What: Children’s story theatre The Queen Storytime Show with Amie Wolf is interactive hilarious story theatre. What: FIRST NIGHT 2007 Back again to ring you into the New Year, Whistler First Night is the place to be on December 31. There’s something for all ages at this annual alcohol-free event - singers, fire masters, jugglers, clowns, craft tables and so much more. Tickets are $15/$5 and are available around town.

What: DEep winter photo challenge Five photographers have been invited to team up with athletes of their choice and spend three days on Whistler-Blackcomb capturing the essence of legendary winter storms. A slideshow presentation will showcase their work as they vie for prize money and the coveted title ‘King of the Storms.’ Tickets are $9.99. Call 604.935.8410.

What: KEY LEADERS’ orientation This orientation is for leaders representing business, education, the faith community, elders, government, health, law enforcement, media, parents etc. This session will provide leaders with an overview of the Communities That Care (Pemberton Area) preventation planning system.
