What: WHISTLER ART WORKSHOPS ON THE LAKE – BEGINNER ACRYLICS This class will teach some basic techniques in painting acrylics on canvas and is suitable for students at the beginner to intermediate level.

What: BIRD WALK Join Whistler Naturalist Society for their monthly bird-walk along the Valley Trail to Rainbow Park. Thirty three species were spotted on the last bird walk. For more information contact Eva Bergersen at 604-935-3711.

What: BIRD COUNT ON THE ESTUARY Join the Squamish Environmental Conservation Society (SECS) for their monthly bird count. Divide into groups then head out into the estuary for about 4 hours of birding. Meet back at the How Sound Inn at 1 p.m. for optional lunch and to tally results. Bring binoculars if you have them.
