What: BOOK DONATIONS Friend of the Whistler Public Library are accepting donations for a book sale to be held Thanksgiving Weekend. All books, including adult, children, and recent magazines, are graciously accepted. Proceeds from the sale will go towards local school libraries.For large donations of boxfuls of books, please call 604 932 3665 to arrange for drop-off or pick-up.

What: FUNDRAISING GOLF TOURNAMENT Enjoy playing in a fun golf tournament while helping raise money for local community projects, including the Pemberton Children’s Centre and the Pemberton Library. $125 per player, $45 for dinner and auction. When: Thursday September 20

What: LUNA HARVEST ART FEST This year’s theme is entitled The Green Art Show. Works of art with environmentally friendly messaging, processes, materials, and mediums will be displayed outdoors along a magical forested trail. All works are created by young adults age 18 – 35. Entry is free.

When: Friday September 21, 6 – 9 p.m.

Where: Village Park (walkway between Main St. and Northlands Blvd.)


What: ARTREPRENEUR SEMINAR This is a one-day professional development workshop designed to assist artists access the marketplace through a targeted marketing plan. Topics covered include proposal packages and submissions; information on galleries, both public and commercial; and the internet as a tool and licensing work.
