What: DOCUMENTARY SCREENING Join the screening of Michael Franti’s documentary “I Know I’m Not Alone”, and help raise funds for building playgrounds in the middle east. This event is hosted by local group Playground Builders Foundation, which has built playgrounds in Israel, Palestine, and Iraq. Tickets are $20.

What: OUR WHISTLER: HONOURING OUR HISTORY The Whistler Arts Council is hosting an intimate reception, dinner, and story telling gathering with some of Whistler’s treasured locals. $125/person. Funds raised will support the Council’s year round programs. For more info, call 604 938 9221.

What: HEALTHY BRAIN WORKSHOPS This series of workshops will teach people how to keep their brains as healthy as possible throughout their life time. Workshops are based on Dr. Stephen Kiraly’s Healthy Brain Program and will run until December. For more info, contact 604 892 2293.

What: CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR TABLE REGISTRATION All local crafters and artisans are invited to participate in this event, which will be held Friday November 30. What: BRATZ BIZ REGISTRATION This kids-only craft fair is taking place this year on December 8 th . Kids who are interested in participating can still submit applications, however no more jewelry or greeting cards will be juried. For more info, email bratzbiz@shaw.ca.

What: COMMUNITY EVENTS COORDINATION PROGRAM Local organization LUNA is currently accepting applications for their event-planning program for young adults 18-35. The 11-month program is free and includes six in-class training sessions with industry professionals, hands-on event operations and promotion experience, and the opportunity to produce an event.
