Where: Birkenhead Lake Campground – take Highway 99 to D’Arcy, make a left to Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park. The campground is on the left at km 7.

What: BIRKEN COUNTRY MARKET Fresh-baked goods, local sculpture, photography, jewellry and more.

What: WHISTLER MUSIC FESTIVAL That other music festival in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Two-day festival includes Elvis Costello, Thievery Corporation, the Roots, Bedouin Soundclash and Medeski Martin and Wood. Single-day pass $67.50, two-day pass $120.

What: WAG DOGGY WASH WAG holds a dog wash, bake sale and BBQ fundraiser. WAG washes your dog while you enjoy the food. All proceeds to the WAG animal shelter.

What: BEAR BASICS Michelle Sims from Bear Aware covers the basics on black bears, including their physical characteristics, food and living spaces.

What: PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL Speaks for itself. Three-day festival includes bands such as Tom Petty, Coldplay and Nine Inch Nails. Three-day event ticket $259.50.

What: PREVENTING HUMAN-BEAR CONFLICT Bear Aware’s Michelle Sims tells you how to keep bears out of your backyard. Includes what initiatives Whistler is taking to become a Bear Smart Community.

What: FEAST OF FIELDS FESTIVAL The Chateau Whistler has partnered with the FarmFolk/CityFolk Society for the third annual harvest festival, an event that aims to expose Whistler residents to the finest organic foods that the community can offer. Cost is $199 per person, gets each participant a night’s sleep at the Cheateau, as well as a private tour through Whistler’s Farmer’s Market and a brunch buffet at the Wildflower restaurant.

What: WHISTLER MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL Four days of fun with street entertainment, music and art activities for the whole family.

What: INAUGURAL MR. GAY CANADA COMPETITION Whistler is playing host to the first Canada-wide search for Mr. Gay Canada. The purpose is to identify people who take the responsibility to speak out for equal rights on a global stage.

Where: Fairmont Chateau Whistler

What: RCMP SEA TO SKY REGIMENTAL BALL RCMP officers from all over Canada gather at this annual event to raise funds for Cops for Cancer. Event will include silent auction, live music, piping, a traditional grand march, and, of course, dancing with officers in red serge.
