What: MOVIE IN THE PARK The Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association presents a screening of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," based on Roald Dahl's classic novel, as part of the Theatre in the Park series.

What: CANADA DAY PARADE The Whistler Chamber is inviting all businesses and community groups to take part in the annual Canada Day Parade. Create a float to showcase your business or just stroll on by to watch!

What: CANADA DAY SCREENING: "ONE WEEK" LUNA presents a Canada Day outdoor screening of Michael MacGowan's "One Week," a love letter to Canada that highlights this country's beautiful landscapes.

What: ADULT SUMMER READING CLUB The Whistler Public Library is introducing a new look for its adult summer reading club. All you have to do is recommend a great summer book to your fellow readers. No registration, no meetings, no cost. Each selection enters you in a weekly draw.

What: LOGGING WHISTLER? The Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment presents a talk by Heather Beresford and Peter Ackhurst about the Cheakamus Community Forest, which is over seen by the municipality and local First Nations.
