There will be lots of songs and carols to get you into the festive spirit. Plus, it helps out the Food Bank, which has had some trouble foraging enough food this year. Admission by donation.

What: WHISTLER SKATING CLUB SANTA SKATE The Whistler Skating Club presents a skating event with Santa Claus! Strap on the blades and glide across the ice like Olympians - and while you're at it tug away at Santa's ear and let him know what you want for Christmas. Pizza and baked treats available for small price.

When: Monday December 14, 5:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

What: ROADSWORTH: CROSSING THE LINE LUNA's Cinema Politica series presents a screening of "Roadsworth: Crossing the Line" about an artist's persecution at home and his travels to France, London and Amsterdam, imprinting himself on streets along the way. Admission by donation.

When: Monday December 14, doors 6:30 p.m., film 7 p.m.

What: QUEST LECTURE SERIES: RIGOROUS MORTIS: THE POSTHUMOUS LIFE OF V.I. LENIN Quest University presents a lecture series in Whistler. For this one join Kiersten Burge-Hendrix, Rhetoric Programme Coordinator, for a lecture on Lenin, leader of the Communist movement in Russia in the early 20th century.

When: Wednesday December 16, 7 p.m.

Where: Community Room, Whistler Public Library

 

What: WHISTLER KNITTERS Join a diverse group of knitters, bring projects to share and be inspired with new holiday gift ideas. All skill levels are welcome. What: NORMAN FOOTE WITH THE WHISTLER CHILDREN'S CHORUS Children's entertainer Norman Foote joins the Whistler Children's Chorus for an all-ages holiday concert. Watch the man behind songs such as "Extra Ordinary Alien" from the Backyardigans as he performs with our local children's choir.

When: Friday December 18, 7 p.m.

What: WHISTLER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE A free family fun zone that is unparalleled for its indoor entertainment and fun! Enjoy mini-golf, bouncy castles, kid's movie screenings and video games for the whole family to enjoy. Santa comes for the official opening party.
