Will also include a panel discussion on biodiversity issues in Whistler.

When: Thursday June 3, 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.; Saturday June 5, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

What: WHISTLER NATURALISTS MONTHLY BIRDWALK The Whistler Naturalists present their monthly bird walk, a chance to see the warblers and finches that roam our trees. Meet at the Valley Trail, foot of Lorimer Road to walk to either Green Lake or Rainbow Park.

When: Saturday June 5, 7 a.m.

Where: Meet at foot of Lorimer Road

 

What: ENVIROFEST The Resort Municipality of Whistler and the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation present Enviro-Fest, an annual event aimed at showcasing environmentally friendly choices offered within the Whistler community. Call (604) 935-0772 to book your space by May 14.

When: Saturday June 5, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What: WOMEN OF WHISTLER The Women of Whistler host their last meeting of the season to celebrate the Women of the Games! Guest speakers include Maureen Douglas and Chelsey Walker, who'll speak on an evening that'll be a fun retrospective of Games events. Cost $30 plus GST for early birds, $35 plus GST starting June 7

What: GIANT PLANT SALE The Friends of the Library present the annual Giant Plant Sale, asking Whistler gardeners to contribute healthy perennials, vegetables and small shrubs to make the sale a success. It sells out every year, so please donate plants by talking to Christy Auer at (604) 932-4062.

When: Saturday June 12, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Where: Marketplace Parking Lot

 

What: CANADA DAY PARADE The Whistler Chamber of Commerce invites all businesses and community groups to join in Canada Day celebrations. Sing, dance, jump, walk or ride your bike. It's a great chance to show your business or group to more than 6,000 spectators. To be accompanied by a big party that the muni is paying for!
