The campaign to build a full skatepark in Pemberton is moving
ahead with a fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the
existing park next to the community centre.
There will be a street and mini ramp contest, which costs $5 to
enter, as well as live entertainment. Whistler-based Forever Ends is on the
bill, as is Vancouver’s Mouth-Full of Daisy. A third band is yet to be
confirmed. DJ Rich will also be spinning at the event.
Entry is $5 for spectators, with all proceeds going towards the
Pemberton Skatepark.
Organizers are looking for volunteers. If you can help out contact Debbie Christianson at the Step Up Skate and Snowboard Shop, 604-935-9147, or email steupshop@yahoo.ca.
