What: Terry Fox Run

Where: Pemberton Airport Campground

When: Sunday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come out and walk, run, bike or skate in the Pemberton Terry Fox Run this Sunday, raising money for cancer research. Registration will be on-site, and there will be food and drinks for participants.

What: Harvest Huckfest

Where: Whistler Mountain Bike Park

When: Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25-26

This year the Harvest Huckfest will run over two days, with the Boneyard Bike Jam taking place on Saturday afternoon – near where the Cheakamus Challenge racers are finishing their race – and the fourth annual Max Vert Enduro on Sunday. Both events are open to the public, and special $10 lift tickets are available for Max Vert Enduro participants. Visit www.whistlerblackcomb.com for more information.

What: Cheakamus Challenge Fall Classic

Where: Squamish to Whistler

When: Saturday, Sept. 25

The 20 th annual Cheakamus Challenge will be a little different than past years with the addition of the Far Side and Tunnel Vision to the route. The race is now 72.5 km in length with more than 2,200 vertical metres of climbing and more singletrack than ever before. For more information and registration visit www.cheakamuschallenge.ca.

What: Rubble Creek Classic trail run

Where: Meet at Cheakamus Lake parking lot

When: Sunday, Sept. 26, 7 a.m.

The Rubble Creek Classic is a 25 km trail run up the Rubble Creek drainage and down to the Garibaldi parking lot. The cost is $20 or $25, and includes a T-shirt. Make arrangements to get a ride to the Cheakamus parking lot and to get picked up at the Garibaldi lot later that morning.

When: Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

Join Whistler Running Experience for a group run around local trails. No experience is necessary as groups will be broken into beginner, intermediate and advanced runners.
