The Sprite Park Rider Series hosted its third event on Sunday, Feb. 9, a slopestyle competition on Blackcomb.

The event sold out completely, with 111 skiers and boarders showing up to show off their stuff in the number one ranked terrain park in North America. As always the skills of local skiers and riders were impressive.

If you plan to enter the next slopestyle event on Feb. 23, event organizers suggest that you register in advance at any one of Whistler-Blackcomb’s ski school sales locations or by calling 1-800-766-0449. You can also register on the day of the competition at the Rendezvous before 9:45 a.m., but you won’t be guaranteed a spot.

This week John Childs-Eddy won the Atomic skis and Emmanuel Brisson the Atomic snowboard in the prize draw.
