More details about Squamish’s newest festival are emerging.
The upcoming new Squamish Constellation Festival has announced the first wave of artists to perform July 26 to 28.
A variety of Canadian folk and indie-rock artists, and famous children's entertainer Fred Penner, are set to perform.
The event will be a "celebration of music, art, food and so much fun," said Tamara Stanners, one of four Squamish-based festival directors in a news release.
Artists booked to appear at the festival include: Juno Award-winning Indigenous musicians A Tribe Called Red; Indie-rock starlet Serena Ryder; Ontario-based folk musician Bahamas; Montreal-based indie rockers Half Moon Run are slated to take to the Squamish stage.

*Canadian prairies-based Foxwarren
*London-based multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake

*Alternative rockers Scenic Route to Alaska
*Nunavut's The Jerry Cans
*the Gulf Island's Art d'Ecco
*R&B Vancouver-favourites The Boom Booms
*Swedish-Canadian singer and songwriter Sarah MacDougall
*Folk singer Luca Fogale
*Alternative band from Vernon, daysormay
*Indie group Parker Bossley
*U.S. singer Jessicka
*Electro-folk duo The Sunset Kids.
Also taking the stage for the three-day festival slated for Hendrickson Field are Hunting; Begoina; The Modelos; Sam Lynch; Taylor James; The Kwerks; Squamish’s Cat Madden and family entertainers The Oot n' Oots.
More headliners are still to be announced, the festival's news release states.
Squamish-based event production company Aquila Constellation Festival Productions Inc produces the Squamish Constellation Festival.
Tickets for locals are available online at constellationfest.ca or in person at Tantalus Bikes after 10 a.m.
General admission tickets will be released on March 8 at 10 a.m.
