Following a one-year investigation, the Squamish Detachment executed a search warrant on the residence and outbuildings of 1015 Finch Drive in Squamish, B.C. at 8 a.m. last Monday.

Inside the outbuilding, officers located "substantial and very sophisticated" indoor marijuana growing operations. The RCMP discovered approximately 850 plants in various stages of growth. They also discovered more than four kilograms of dried marijuana, plus plants that were in the process of being dried.

Property seized include a one-tonne cube van and a large amount of hydroponic growing apparatus.

James Delikatny, 41, and wife Beverly, 40, were arrested and on April 24. They were charged with production of a controlled substance. Further charges are pending.

The RCMP no longer assign cash values to quantities of narcotics seized.

However, according to the traditional formula 850 mature marijuana plants could be worth more than $1.5 million at street value.
