The Canadians were down 34 points to 3 when the team made a couple of substitutions, swapping younger players for veterans.

The move paid off almost immediately with prop Kevin Tkatchuk and the other forwards running in Canada’s only try of the game to make the score 34 to 10.

Wales did manage to put another try on the board in the closing minutes, handing Canada a 41-10 loss.

The Canadians play again Friday, Oct. 17, this time facing the formidable New Zealand All Blacks.
