Stabbing suspect still at large

Victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say

Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a suspect linked to a stabbing in Whistler Village this weekend.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19 in the 4300 block of Main Street.

When they arrived on the scene, police found a 24-year-old man suffering from a single stab wound to his abdomen, according to RCMP.

Police continue to speak with several witnesses, and said that the initial investigation revealed that an altercation took place between two males, which led to the stabbing.

Now police are asking for assistance to identify the suspect, described as a South Asian male around 26 or 27 years old, 6-feet tall, and 225 pounds. He was wearing a forest-green jacket with fur trim on the hood at the time of the incident. The suspect was also accompanied by a blonde woman, about 5-10 tall, 140 pounds.
