Stars off the screen

There will be plenty of celebrity sightings to look out for at the Whistler Film Festival with the resort being bombarded with award-winning producers, directors and actors.

Many directors will even be present during screenings including Simonee Chichester during the screening of her documentary Chichester’s Choice on Friday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 p.m. at the Rainbow Theatre.

The film follows her own personal journey as she travels to Brazil to find her father, who abandoned her and her mother years earlier.

He is now living on the streets dying of tuberculosis. Eventually the two reconcile, but he cannot give up his addictions. The two have to make a choice.
